Redbud Development Landscape Design Services
Redbud Development offers basic on-site consultation to assess your property conditions, project feasibility, or site analysis. For example, the location of a house, garage or a pool on a piece of property is an important factor in landcaping that frequently does not receive the attention it deserves. A little foresight now can prevent big problems in the future.
Redbud’s Landscaping Design services range from simple perennial gardens to complex custom designs with infinite combinations of outdoor features. Our high level of service is designed to take away the hassle and headache normally encountered when dealing with one or many contractors and to provide the client with a swift and smoothly completed project. With more than 15 years’ experience in landscape installation, we pride ourselves not only on the creativity and originality of our landscape designs, but also on the quality of our construction.
Certain properties may need functional or cosmetic improvements such as plantings, driveways, patios, walks, walls, decks, terraces, or custom fencing. Other properties may have serious problems that call for drainage systems, retaining walls or slope remediation. Overhead structures can create shade and intimate spaces while a shed or even a pool cabana can alleviate storage concerns. The right outdoor ambiance can be achieved by installing a pond or other water features or even outdoor lighting or audio systems. Purely recreational requests can be answered with various types of playgrounds, sport courts, tennis courts, etc…
You can focus on a few elements or let us integrate all of
your desires to develop a full-scale Master Plan that may be
implemented directly or phased-in over time.
The Landscape Design Process…
The design process is a coordinated effort between client and designer.
Redbud Development will come to your property for an initial client meeting. During this meeting, the landscape designer will assess your property and discuss with you your ideas, your lifestyle, your entertaining habits, etc… in order to suggest other ideas and get a general idea of the scope of the project. With this information, a design proposal is issued that summarizes the meeting and sets the design fee for the sketch design. Upon approval, we can begin the mechanics of the preliminary design, which involves re-visiting the property to take detailed measurements, taking site photos and transferring the data into the AutoCAD system.
At this point, the creative process begins and the landscape designer will use his skills and vision to incorporate all the requested elements, and more, to create an outdoor space of form, function and beauty. The designer will then set up another meeting to review the preliminary sketch to get some feedback and make sure the design is going in the right direction.
Once the preliminary landscape design is completed and the scope of work is narrowed and the budget is in the right ballpark, we then request a construction commitment so that Redbud can finalize the design and advance to the construction phase. This entails procuring bids from sub-contractors and possibly obtaining any necessary permits, variances, architectural review board approvals, zoning board of appeal approvals, etc. to make certain the project is built according to local codes.
During the construction phase, Redbud is directly involved on-site to manage the various trades and make any eleventh-hour decisions to solve problems or fine-tune the construction schedule. Redbud Development makes every effort to ensure that all aspects of the project are completed in a timely manner. We have spent years cultivating relationships with only the best sub-contractors in their respective fields to assure the highest quality product and workmanship. All aspects of sub-contractor management are handled by Redbud Development.
Upon project conclusion, Redbud Development will acquire the
appropriate certificates of completion and certificates of
compliance as required by local codes.
